Fireworks, parades, barbecues, and of course everything
covered in red, white, and blue. A day that has become so
elaborate because the 13 colonies claimed their freedom
from England, leading to the unity of the United States.

It's funny sometimes how history has such an impact
on what we do today. We celebrate the Fourth of July, but
a lot of us don't really think about why we celebrate it. We
just get really excited about getting to buy red, white, and
blue colored everything and spend time with family and
friends. So as we celebrate this year with whatever sort
of festivities we choose to partake in, let's remember to
be thankful for this country, and for our freedom.

The local Orange County and Los Angeles areas are
among everyone who loves to celebrate their country
and freedom. Kick off your celebration with a 5k run
and fitness expo, followed by a fun parade route to the
beach, and a Pier Plaza Festival where there is family
friendly entertainment and food is available. Stick
around all day and see fireworks at 9pm on the beach
with a 500-round finale. If that doesn't represent

We all know how much this country loves to eat. Stay in
the city and attend the Red, White, & BBQ presented
by Time Out L.A. Enjoy a day of eating with some of the
city's best food around. It's the Fourth of July, so expect
the classics such as: hot links, pulled pork sliders, and
BBQ chicken. Eat, eat, and eat while you jam to a DJ,
play some games, and enjoy a Socialbooth.

While attending all of these events, you must go in style.
This doesn't mean you have to go all out with red, white, &
blue. It can be as simple as pairing a fun pair of sunnies
with a simple striped t-shirt, jeans, and call it a day. Or,
take a fun pair of shorts, a white t-shirt, and a red pair
of sunglasses and make a statement at any party.

Below, Lifestyle blogger, The Girl in the Yellow Dress, shows
us how we can subtly be patriotic by rocking a bright red
top, boyfriend jeans, and slides. The perfect outfit for
the fourth if you don't want to go all out but still
want to have some fun.

Since most people spend their Fourth of July outside,
it is a prime opportunity to get a fun pair of sunglasses
to help you celebrate your day. Sunglass.LA has so many
fun colors to help accessorize this day. All of our sunglasses
have 100% UV protected lenses, so your eyes are sure to stay
safe from the sun during your outdoor celebration on the 4th!

The best part about these sunglasses is that you can dress
them up for a celebration like the Fourth of July, but they can
also be worn any other day. Color-block sunglasses are a huge
trend, especially for summer. So don't wait to add a little color
to your wardrobe and to help celebrate the Fourth of July.
