You keep dreaming about arriving to that baby pink
exterior of the warehouse. The glass double doors allow
you to see into that sweet-filled future ahead of you.

The doors are opened and you are escorted into what feels
like a sugar-filled fantasy. The warmth of the colors, and
the smell of childhood rushes through your body
as you step into the first heavenly room and are handed
a piece of chocolate to satisfy that sweet tooth.

Suddenly, you wake up and realize that tickets to this
dream are sold out

The Museum of Ice Cream has been one of the biggest talks of Los Angeles since it opened this past April. This pop up museum was created by the young mind of 25 year old Maryellis Bunn. The once head of forecasting and innovation for Time Inc. made the decision that there was more to life- and that's ice cream. This crazy, extravagant, yet absolutely amazing idea stemmed from her love for ice cream and recognizing the market that this idea had. Bunn's inspiration behind all the bright colors inside this creative and innovative pop up came from her childhood home in Laguna Beach, California.

Creating a space four times larger than the first pop
up in New York, Bunn partnered with International Flavors
& Fragrances engineers so they could come up with scents that
would trigger childhood memories of sweet, sweet ice cream.

Located in the Arts District of Los Angeles,
this one-stop-sweet-shop has been teaming up with some of the
sweetest treats in LA. McConnell's, Salt & Straw, Coolhaus x Cuisinart,
and CREAM are all a part of this sweet sensation.

Giving visitors both a sugar rush and a chance to view
some amazing artwork, getting your hands on a pair of tickets
is worth it. Not to mention they're only $29.

We think it may be possible to get a sugar rush walking through the endless rooms, but who are the masterminds behind some of these masterpieces?

Keith Margruder is a California based artist that
focuses on Illustration. When young, Keith was able to
connect to food while he would help his mom
and grandmother bake. This made him realize that
baking has much more of a meaning than what
may appear. "In exploring the origins, costs, and
transformational properties of ingredients, Keith's artwork
offers an artistic commentary on the socio-political
aspects of food and the relationship that people
and cultures around the world share with it."

We'd say that ice cream is pretty good inspiration
for many different things, including fashion.
The Museum of Ice Cream makes for some pretty
good Instagram pictures but it also is the perfect
inspiration to add a little color to your wardrobe.
Many different influencers draw their influence from
bright colors, and like @stylesprinter to the right, she is
drawing hers from our favorite childhood treat.

Like many other people, sunglass.la loves to be
inspired by different things going on around us.
We love this pop up museum and the bright colors
that come with it. It inspires us to add some color
to our wardrobe with color tinted lenses that
will help spruce up our summer outfits!
